The door check straps have always been fastened to the car in a very weak manner. This results in the cowl pillars being bent and pulled out shape. We have redesigned and now manufacture the Bitchin cowl saver kit to cure this problem. This kit consists of two CNC machined stainless steel check strap clevis'. They are stronger and better looking than the factory originals. Two pieces of doubler material to strengthen your door pillar, which must be shaped by you to match your particular needs and all the related hardware and instructions are included in each cowl saver kit.
